Financial Institution Advisory Group collaborates with a select group of former regulators, compliance officers, and bankers. The founder, Glenda M. Nuñez, has over 25 years of domestic and international banking, regulatory, and consulting experience. She is a former examiner with the FDIC and senior examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank.

Conducted safety and soundness examinations of U.S. agencies of foreign banks, Edge Act Offices, and commercial banks
Evaluated a wide range of BSA/AML compliance systems
Drafted and piloted the FFIEC BSA/AML examination manual assisting the USA PATRIOT ACT working group
Participated in special assignments with the Federal Reserve offices in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, GA
Compliance Officer at a local bank with an international customer base where she accomplished the timely removal of a public enforcement action
Designed and implemented an account monitoring system, KYC forms and manuals, and due diligence policies and procedures
Conducted training for the Spanish speaking foreign correspondent bank offices in Central and South America
Seasoned Banking Consultant
As a consultant since 2006, Glenda has served as interim BSA Officer for several domestic and international problem banks bringing them into compliance while the permanent staff is hired. She has addressed several regulatory actions and implemented corrective action.
Ms. Nuñez has worked as a project manager for many look back projects, team lead of investigations units, and QC and SAR Officer. She also has developed tracking reports and conducted meetings with management regularly.
